Koh Chang's west coast is lined with resorts. Some are big, lively beachfront hotels. Others are small hideaways with private pool villas and sunset views over the Gulf of Thailand. Most sit on four main stretches of sand: White Sand Beach in the north, Klong Prao in the centre, Kai Bae and Chang Noi Bay in the north-west.
These 10 resorts are the island's best-rated for couples and beach lovers. Each one has a full review, its TripAdvisor rating and a map link.
- Baht prices are hard to find for these resorts. Booking sites I could access show prices only in pounds or dollars. To keep this article in baht only, I've left out live nightly rates. Where I found a baht figure, I've included it with its date. Check live rates in baht on Agoda or the resort's own site before booking.
- The GajaPuri prices are from 2018. Travelfish lists walk-in rates from that year. Treat them as a rough guide only.
- The Awa price comes from one guest review. A reviewer reported paying about ฿1,400 a night in October 2025.
- Ratings come from TripAdvisor UK and were checked in October 2026. Ratings and rankings change over time.
- A note on Sea View Resort. TripAdvisor shows a notice on its page that the hotel filed criminal charges against a reviewer. I've included the resort because of its high rating and long track record, but you should be aware of this.
- Halal food is very limited on Koh Chang. None of these resorts advertise halal kitchens. Ask the resort directly about halal or seafood options before booking.

- Klong Prao is the most central base for reaching both ends of the island.
