Itinerary
✅ Pick up from your hotel lobby or airport and depart on a 2 hours journey to Kinabalu Park.
✅ 9:00am
✅ Check into Kinabalu Park Lodge.
✅ Free at own Leisure.
✅ Dinner will be served at local restaurant.
✅ Breakfast at Park Restaurant.
✅ Meet up your guide at Kinabalu Park Headquarter.
✅ Collect your packed lunch.
✅ 9:00am
✅ Guide will arrange for all necessary registration and apply for your ID TAG.
✅ Remember to wear your ID TAG all times.
✅ You will be transfer to starting point – Timpohon Gate (where your journey and quest to summit of Borneo’s highest mountain begins!)
✅ The climb will take approximately 4 -5 hours.
✅ The trek will pass by different vegetation zones from Oak and Chestnut to mossy and eventually to alpine type of vegetations.
✅ Arrive Panalaban Base Camp @ 3272m and check into Laban Rata Rest House (Dorm).
✅ Dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant and overnight.
✅ Wake up for early supper and depart for continuation of journey towards the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
✅ The journey up to Low’s peak @ 4,095m will test your fitness and determination.
✅ Depending on speed of trekking, you might be able to experience the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mt Kinabalu if weather permits.
✅ 7:00am
✅ Descend back to Panalaban Base Camp for late breakfast and check out.
✅ Trek down to Timpohon Gate for transfer back to the Kinabalu Park Headquarter (est. arrival 1300hrs to 1500hrs).
✅ Congratulations, you can now collect your Certificate of Achievement!
✅ Lunch will be served at the Balsam Restaurant in Kinabalu Park.
✅ Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City.
✅ Journey takes approx. 2 hours.

Important Things To Note:
✅ Climbers who reach Timpohon Gate after 16:30 Hrs will be imposed a fee of MYR 15 per hour per guide and need to pay directly to mountain guide on the spot.
✅ Tipping is like giving a hug. Although it’s never expected, it’s always very much appreciated.
✅ Do take note that your MyKad (for Malaysian) / Passport (for Non-Malaysian) will be required for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office. Please bring it along with you.
✅ Laban Rata Resthouse does NOT provide boiled water for drinking/refill to climbers. Coffee & Tea will only be provided complimentary during Breakfast & Supper. However, mineral water, coffee, tea, and other hot drinks and Soft Drinks are still available for purchase at the Grocery Counter (Laban Rata Resthouse).
✅ Pendant Hut provides filtered hot water for drinking/refill to climbers.
✅ Check-out time for Laban Rata Resthouse is 10:00 Hrs. Should you check out later than 10:30 Hrs, a Late Check Out Fee of MYR100/hour applies, to be paid directly on the spot.
✅ Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.

What an amazing day with TYH Borneo Tours & Travel! The highlight of the trip was definitely the paragliding experience. The weather was on our side, and with just the right amount of wind, we were able to stay in the air for quite a while. Flying over the beautiful landscapes of Sabah was simply unforgettable. We also visited Desa Dairy Farm, which was a fun stop. As someone from the Netherlands, dairy farms are nothing new to me, but it was really interesting to see one here in Borneo. The flower garden there is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. As a bonus, we even stopped by to see a blooming Rafflesia, which is such a rare and unique sight. To make the day even better, our guide Alex surprised us with an extra stop at a fish farm, where we admired stunning koi carp and other fish and even got the chance to feed them. Lunch was excellent as well. Before the tour, Alex took the time to ask about any dietary restrictions and made sure everything was arranged accordingly. That level of attention and care really stood out. Finally, I want to give a special thank you to Yvonne for organizing this trip. She was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely involved throughout the booking process and the day itself. She took the time to explain all the activities and attractions in the area, making it easy to choose the perfect tour. Thank you, Alex and Yvonne, for such a memorable experience. Great River Tour! After smooth pickup and transfer we where welcomed with some coffee until the rain stopped. On the daytime tour we saw a lot of monkeys, nose monkeys, macaques and silver langur monkeys. The crew did well to maneuver the boat that we could see them well. After dinner we went to second boat tour to see the fireflies. An amazing experience that I warmly recommend! Our guide Chris was very kind and eager to help.

Great company, reasonably priced and well organised. I have done 4 tours with this company: Sapi/Manukan Islands, Mantanani Islands, Kinabalu National Park and Poring Hot Springs, and Fireflies and Proboscis Monkeys Tour. All of them were great even though the weather doing the Kinabalu National Park tour was atrocious but there was nothing could be done about that. The drivers were great especially Annuar and Ries. My favourite tour guide was Anis, whom I had the pleasure with 2 of the tours - she was incredible, very friendly with a great personality - definitely a recommended tour guide from this company. The other tour guide Matt who did the Mantanani Islands Tour was professional, to certain extent, in looking after his guests and did a great job but there is one flaw I did find with him and that is his lack of social skills in terms of mingling with guests. On journeys on the way there and back again he was too busy listening to music instead of engaging a conversation with guests and in my eyes that wasn't great. All tour guides should be professional but at the same time connect with your guests - this is where Matt failed to deliver and where Anis truly exceeded. Finally, I have to give my special thanks to Nurul for organising my tours, being proactive on WhatsApp regarding queries prior to coming to KK and during my stay. Her organisational skills was the key in why my tours were amazing - if if wasn't for Nurul, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did - everything she did was nothing more than exceptional.
